And the chariot of Jehovah appeared to Ezekiel by the river Chebar. And the Prophet beheld four strange creatures, each having four heads, four wings and brazen hoofs like those of a calf. And there were four wheels filled with eyes. Where the cherubim went the wheels went also. And the space between the wheels and the cherubim was filled with coals of fire. Upon the top of the chariot was a throne, upon which sat the likeness of a man.
And the construction of the wheels was that of one wheel within another. Moving they went on four sides and they were not turning as the went.
